The number of foreign students in the Netherlands continues to rise. At the beginning of 2018, the number grew to 122,000 students from 162 different countries, studying in our country at a college or university. This is according to figures from Nuffic. These students often find work or love here and then continue to live in the Netherlands.

Some four in ten foreign applied sciences and academic students (38 per cent) still live in the Netherlands five years after graduating. Staying in the Netherlands has been made more attractive.
